During a beach stroll with my husband last autumn, we stumbled upon an abundance of small white seashells. I couldn’t resist bringing a few home, convinced I would discover a creative use for them. Eventually, after months of sitting on a closet shelf, I found the perfect solution: transforming them into napkin rings.

- Collect the seashells: While enjoying a leisurely walk along the beach, keep an eye out for seashells that catch your attention. (Or, if you are like me, you may already have a big bowl of shells at home!)
- Before you begin, gather the following materials: To create these napkin rings, you’ll need seashells, twine, scissors, a wooden skewer, and a trusty glue gun.
- Start by creating the ring portion: I wrapped the twine around my fingers about 8 times. I cut the twine and then tied the ends into a knot.
- Attach the Seashells: Using the glue gun, Place a dollop of glue on the back of the sea shell. Press the twine into the glue. I pressed the knot portion of the ring onto the back of the shell so that it will be hidden from view. Use a skewer to press the twine into the glue to avoid burning your fingers.
- Drying time: The hot glue cools and dries within a couple of minutes. No long wait times here!
With just a few simple steps, you can transform seashells into cute napkin rings that add a touch of coastal charm to your tablescape.
