Poinsettia Napkin Fold Tutorial for a Beautiful Holiday Tablescape
This Poinsettia Napkin Fold is festive, elegant, and surprisingly easy to create. Made with a red 18-inch square cotton napkin and finished with a gold-wrapped Ferrero Rocher candy at the center, it brings instant holiday charm to your place setting. It’s the perfect detail for Christmas dinner, a holiday luncheon, or a festive cocktail party.

How to Create the Poinsettia Napkin Fold
This napkin fold technique looks far more intricate than it actually is. There may be a lot of steps in this tutorial, but once you go through them a couple of times, you will find that it’s actually quite simple.

A Few Helpful Tips
- I prefer using a sturdy 18-inch square cotton napkin for this fold. A thinner napkin will create a poinsettia with softer, more relaxed edges, which is also very pretty.
- Iron the napkin first if you can. Crisp fabric makes the folds easier and helps the finished design hold its shape.
- I used a red napkin, but this fold works beautifully in other colors as well. A plaid fabric would be a festive choice for the holidays.
- Once finished, carefully transfer the poinsettia onto a plate, or create the fold directly on the plate to avoid moving it at all.
