Create a Simple and Elegant Dessert with Elderflower Blueberry Compote

Fresh juicy blueberries combined with St. Germaine Elderflower Liqueur create a delicious compote that will elevate your dessert offerings. My favorite way to serve Elderflower Blueberry Compote is warm over a slice of pound cake with a scoop of ice cream on the side. It’s simply delicious!

When Blueberries are BOGO? Make compote!

When you stumble upon a BOGO offer for blueberries at your local supermarket, the perfect answer is to whip up some delightful blueberry compote. But hold on, this isn’t your average compote; it comes with an exciting twist – the addition of St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur.

Now, what does this liqueur do? Well, it brings a touch of complexity and delightful floral notes to the already juicy and sweet blueberries. Imagine the flavors dancing together in harmony, creating a taste that can truly elevate any dish it’s paired with.

This unique recipe was inspired by the classic Blueberry Compote from the Insanely Good Recipes website (which, by the way, is a goldmine of fantastic meal ideas). But here’s where I changed it up a little; I used fresh blueberries and decided to introduce the enchanting St. Germain, taking the taste experience to a different level.

If you’re wondering what to do with this splendid blueberry compote, the options are endless. You can drizzle it over pancakes, waffles, or French toast for a delicious brunch treat. It also makes a delightful topping for creamy desserts like cheesecake or vanilla ice cream. If you’re feeling adventurous, try it as a glaze for roasted chicken or as an accompaniment to a cheese platter at your next gathering.
