Elderflower Blueberry Compote

Fresh juicy blueberries combined with St. Germaine Elderflower Liqueur create a delicious compote that will elevate your dessert offerings. This compote is simply amazing when served over a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh blueberries, divided
  • 3 tbsp water
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur

Instructions
 

  • In a small saucepan, combine one cup of the blueberries, water, sugar, and lemon juice
  • Cook over medium-low heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally
  • Add the remaining blueberries and the St. Germain. Cook for 8 more minutes over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving

Notes

  • Elderflower Blueberry Compote is delicious served over vanilla ice cream
  • Create an easy and delicious dessert by spooning the compote over slices of pound cake and top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream
  • Store unused compote in the refrigerator, and serve within a few days
  • Recipe makes approximately 1 1/3 cups of compote
