Southern Peach Cobbler Recipe: The Best You Will Ever Have
An easy summertime dessert made with 5 simple ingredients
It’s summertime and peaches are in season!
I have fond memories of my mother, grandmother, and aunt buying bushels of peaches from the local peach farm in Edgefield, South Carolina every summer. They spent countless hours peeling, slicing, and “putting up” peaches in the freezer so that we could enjoy this cobbler all year long.

This peach cobbler is the only one that I remember having as a child, and it’s still my go-to recipe for a quick and easy dessert. With only 5 simple ingredients, the cobbler comes together in a flash. It’s perfect for entertaining because it can be made ahead. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and your guests will be begging for seconds!

While I’m no longer able to go up the road to get those Edgefield peaches, I find that the selection at the local supermarket or produce stand works well. Frozen peaches are also a convenient alternative, and they allow you to enjoy this delicious dessert all year round!
I encourage you to give this recipe a try. The juicy peaches combined with a sweet crunchy crust are sure to satisfy any sweet tooth.
